It’s always exciting to inform you on the korean festival and today’s four festival are a little different from the rest with their uniqueness.

 

HWACHEON SANCHEONEO (ICE FESTIVAL):




This is an exciting festival that starts from 9th-31st January where people walk through the cold temperature for trout fishing. It is normal to catch fishes with bare hands or their mouths!!! from the drilled ice hole, other activities like snowman building, snow slide building, ice sled and ice soccer are enjoyed this day.


GWANGJU WORLD CULTURE (KIMCHI FESTIVAL):



This festival is all about kimchi, one of the most famous korean dish around the world. This day is filled with activities from kimchi-making, to cooking classes to kimchi master contest, everything about this day is fun. This festival has been recorded to have one of the biggest gathering in korea.


SEONSANG SUNRISE FESTIVAL:

This festival takes place on New Year’s Eve and the first day of the year at the top of the internationally renowned landmark of Jejudo (Jeju) island known as “sunrise peak”. The site is the most famous and breathtaking place for seeing the sunrise and it attracts a large crowd of tourists throughout the year. The hill (Jeju island) on New Year’s Eve is said to be a place where you reflect on your past and make wishes for the coming year.

 

GOCHANG GREEN BARLEY FIELD FESTIVAL:


 

This is the most popular festival in the region of Gochang-gun visited by over 550,000 tourists in a year. The festival celebrates the region’s blessed “Barley” and activities has been created for visitors to take part in such as making flutes out of barley and the most exciting is the one of searching for treasures in the barley fields.
